Poster series 4

Typographic Posters

These posters were inspired by the typographic website founded by Paul, after scrutinising the designs people have created, it inspired me to create a typographic series of posters inspired by the work I saw on the website, where in this series I have experimented with colour, learning further detail on colour theory and complimentary colours and It inspired me to experiment further with typography, I do remember back in the beginning of year 1 my work especially typographical work when we did the visible word where my typographic work was very straight and to be more asymmetric and oblique with my work, and try and make it more exciting by experimenting. As I want to broaden my skills and experiment doing so.

Here is my series of typographic posters:

COVID 19 Poster

Here is how I created this poster along with the rest of this series of posters, mind you this was supposed to be cropped but I forgot to, good thing I didn't because you could see my how my skill development come about, Which was by writing the text COVID 19 on Adobe Illustrator to get the clean edging on the character (Letter) and then transferred it to Adobe Photoshop to which I had them in separate layers and used the gradient tool for the varied colours and then clicked on that selected layer and let the magic do the talking basically and experiment with various colours and compositions.

Here is many pore poster designs for this series. You will again find these in my sample book, which will be posted within time. This series I forgot to warn you is quite long I do apologise but when I experiment and I explore I end up creating multiples so have fun!!!!

Here are some interesting asymmetric experimentation

With these posters you'll notice is words on them, you may think this is an act of randomness, but there is always good reason fr my workings, you'll remember the questionnaire some of you did, (It is displayed on one of the previous blog entries) but if you remember question 10, I asked how you'd describe lockdown in one word... and you wrote your responses that is what the other words are besides the COVID 19 typography, as I say these questions were asked for a reason, whilst the rest of the questioned for the reasons of research and curiosity.
